Schottky rectifier for low-voltage, high-current rails
The STPS20L15G-TR is a 15 V, 20 A Schottky rectifier in a D2PAK surface-mount package, designed for low forward voltage drop in high-current power paths. Its 410 mV maximum forward voltage at 19 A keeps conduction losses low in OR-ing diodes, output rectifiers, and reverse-polarity protection on 12 V or lower rails.
20 A average current — thermal design matters
The 20 A average rating is the continuous current the diode can carry when the junction stays at or below 125 °C. Reverse leakage is 6 mA at 15 V and 25 °C junction; leakage rises exponentially with temperature, so the thermal budget at high load must account for the additional self-heating from leakage current.
