The pair shares the D2PAK tab as the cathode connection, so the PCB copper pour under the tab is the output rail — layout must account for that shared node. Forward voltage is 770 mV typical at 10 A — that is the conduction loss per diode at full load. At 20 A total through the pair, the combined Vf drop and 4.5 µA reverse leakage at 100 V define the thermal budget for the D2PAK footprint.
175°C junction — headroom for a hot PSU or motor drive
Junction temperature is rated to 175°C max, 25°C above the typical 150°C Schottky ceiling. That extra margin matters in a cramped power supply or motor-drive output stage where the ambient around the rectifier runs 85–105°C and the heatsink area is limited. The fast recovery spec (≤ 500 ns at > 200 mA) is standard for a power Schottky — the switching loss is dominated by the junction capacitance, not the reverse-recovery charge, so the part behaves cleanly in a 50–100 kHz switching supply without a snubber.
