200 V, 10 A dual Schottky in D²PAK
The STPS20200CG-TR is a dual Schottky rectifier from STMicroelectronics, configured as a common-cathode pair in a single D²PAK (TO-263-3) package.
Conduction loss and thermal budget
At 10 A forward current the Vf is 860 mV, which sets the per-diode conduction loss at 8.6 W. In a common-cathode pair, the total dissipation depends on the duty cycle of each diode — a continuous 10 A load on one junction needs a heatsink sized for that 8.6 W plus the reverse leakage contribution at temperature. The 175°C Tj max allows operation in enclosures with limited airflow where a 150°C-rated Schottky would require derating. Reverse leakage at 200 V is 15 µA at room temperature, but Schottky leakage rises exponentially with junction temperature. At 125°C Tj the leakage can increase by an order of magnitude, adding to the standby loss in a continuously biased OR-ing or polarity-protection application.
Package and mounting for the D²PAK
A 2 oz copper pour of at least 600 mm² under the tab keeps the junction temperature within the 175°C ceiling at full rated current.
