What this Schottky rectifier does in the circuit
The STMicroelectronics STPS1L60ZFY is a 60 V, 1 A Schottky rectifier in the SOD-123F surface-mount package, qualified to AEC-Q101 for automotive applications. It is designed for low-voltage, high-frequency rectification where fast switching and low forward voltage drop are critical — think output rectification in a DC-DC converter, freewheeling diode across an inductive load, or reverse-polarity protection on an automotive ECU supply rail. The junction is rated from -40°C to 175°C, which covers under-hood and transmission-mounted electronics without derating at the hot end.
Forward voltage and leakage — the two numbers that matter
At 1 A forward current the maximum forward voltage is 570 mV. That is a low-drop Schottky figure — it keeps conduction losses under 0.6 W at full rated current, which the SOD-123F body can handle with reasonable board copper for heatsinking. The reverse leakage at 60 V is 50 µA maximum. That leakage doubles or triples as junction temperature climbs toward 175°C, so if the part sits near a hot inductor or in a sealed enclosure, budget for the leakage rise at the high end of the temperature range. The 60 V reverse rating gives about 20% headroom on a nominal 48 V bus or 12 V automotive load-dump clamped to 40 V.

SOD-123F is a small outline plastic package with gull-wing leads, rated for surface-mount reflow. For rework, standard hot-air profiles for SOD-123 work — the junction is not exposed, so the main risk is lifting the pad if the tip temperature exceeds 260°C for more than 10 seconds.
