Automotive Schottky — 100 V, 1 A, SMB
The STPS1H100UY is an automotive-grade Schottky rectifier rated for 100 V reverse voltage and 1 A average forward current. The 770 mV forward drop at 1 A sets the conduction loss that the SMB package must sink to the PCB copper.
Forward drop and thermal budget — the 770 mV floor
At the rated 1 A forward current the Vf is 770 mV max, producing 770 mW of dissipation. The SMB package relies on the PCB copper pad area under the cathode tab for heat spreading. Reverse leakage is 4 µA at the rated 100 V reverse voltage.
