The STPS16H100CG-TR: It is housed in a D2PAK (TO-263-3) surface-mount package. With a maximum forward voltage of 770 mV at 8 A and a reverse leakage of 3.6 µA at the rated 100 V, this part balances conduction efficiency and blocking stability — the Schottky barrier gives a lower Vf than a comparable PN junction at the cost of higher leakage at elevated temperatures.
Switching speed and forward recovery
Listed as a fast recovery type with a recovery time under 500 ns at forward currents above 200 mA — this places it well above line-frequency rectification and into the 50–200 kHz switching range typical of telecom and server power supplies. The Schottky construction inherently avoids minority-carrier storage, so the recovery is dominated by junction capacitance, not stored charge.
