45 V, 15 A Schottky in a full-pack TO-220
The STPS1545FP is a 45 V, 15 A Schottky rectifier from STMicroelectronics in the TO-220FPAC full-pack package.
Forward drop and thermal budget
Forward voltage is 840 mV maximum at 30 A — that is the conduction loss you need to sink. At 15 A average the drop will be lower, but the 30 A point gives a realistic worst-case for thermal design. Junction temperature is rated to 175°C, so with good heatsinking this diode can handle sustained current in a cramped enclosure.
Reverse leakage and switching speed
Reverse leakage is 200 µA at 45 V — typical for a 45 V Schottky, but worth noting if your circuit idles hot; leakage doubles with temperature. The fast recovery rating (≤500 ns, >200 mA) means it handles the reverse-recovery transient cleanly in a 50/60 Hz rectifier or a lower-frequency SMPS output stage.
