Common-cathode pair — layout and design note
The common-cathode configuration (1 Pair Common Cathode) means the two anodes are separate and the cathodes are tied internally. This is the standard topology for a center-tapped secondary rectifier: each anode connects to one end of the transformer winding, the common cathode goes to the output rail. It also works as a dual OR-ing diode for redundant power feeds — two input rails, one shared output. The single I2PAK package saves board area versus two discrete SMD or TO-220 devices.
