Schottky rectifier for automotive power rails
The STMicroelectronics STPS140ZY is a 40 V, 1 A Schottky rectifier in a SOD-123 surface-mount package, qualified to AEC-Q101 for automotive applications. Its low forward voltage of 550 mV at 1 A reduces conduction loss in rectification, freewheeling, and OR-ing diode circuits.
At 1 A forward current the maximum forward voltage is 550 mV, which keeps the junction temperature rise manageable in a SOD-123 footprint without forced airflow. Reverse leakage at 40 V is specified at 40 µA — typical for a Schottky of this voltage class, but worth derating if the diode sees sustained reverse bias near the maximum rating in a hot environment.
