Dual Schottky in a TO-220 — 40 V, 5 A per leg
The 530 mV maximum forward drop at 5 A keeps conduction losses manageable in a TO-220-3 through-hole package — the sort of part you find in the secondary-side rectification of a 12 V or 5 V output power supply, or as an OR-ing diode in a redundant rail.
At 5 A per diode, the 530 mV Vf translates to about 2.65 W of conduction loss per leg at full load. In a TO-220 with a heatsink tab, that is a manageable thermal load — but without a heatsink the junction will climb toward the 150°C maximum quickly. The 200 µA reverse leakage at 40 V is typical for a 40 V Schottky; expect it to rise with temperature, so the thermal design needs headroom above the steady-state dissipation.
