10 A Schottky for 12 V / 24 V rails
The STPS1045BY-TR is a 45 V, 10 A Schottky rectifier in a DPAK surface-mount package — the kind of diode you reach for on a 12 V or 24 V output rail where the forward drop matters for efficiency and the junction needs to survive a hot environment.
Forward drop and thermal budget
At 10 A and 630 mV Vf, the diode dissipates 6.3 W. Reverse leakage is 100 µA at 45 V rated reverse voltage — a typical Schottky trade-off: lower Vf comes with higher leakage at elevated junction temperature, so the leakage contribution to the thermal budget grows above 100°C.
Housed in a TO-252-3 (DPAK) surface-mount package with two leads plus the tab — the tab is the cathode and the primary thermal path.
