Where the 530 mV forward drop matters
The STPS0560Z is a 60 V, 500 mA Schottky rectifier in a SOD-123 package. Its forward voltage is 530 mV maximum at the full 500 mA rated current, which keeps conduction losses low in low-voltage rails and OR-ing diodes. The fast recovery spec — under 500 ns at above 200 mA — means it transitions quickly enough for moderate-speed switching supplies and reverse-polarity protection without the stored-charge penalty of a PN-junction diode.
Leakage and junction temperature budget
Reverse leakage is 50 µA at the rated 60 V. That is typical for a 60 V Schottky in a SOD-123 body; the leakage doubles with every 10 °C rise, so the 150 °C maximum junction temperature sets the derating curve for continuous operation above 85 °C ambient.
BOM lines using this diode are not exposed to a near-term discontinuation.
