High-side switch with built-in fault tolerance
The On/Off interface accepts a non-inverting logic signal, so a simple GPIO can enable the output without needing a separate Vcc supply pin.
Protection set covers the common failure modes
This part integrates fixed current limiting, over-temperature shutdown, reverse-current blocking, and undervoltage lockout (UVLO). That combination handles the usual board-level faults: a shorted load won't exceed the current limit, a hot environment triggers thermal shutdown before the die damages, and a reverse-bias condition on the output won't back-feed the supply rail. The UVLO holds the output off until the input voltage rises above the threshold, which prevents partial-on states during power-up sequencing.
The device is surface-mount only.
