STM8SPLNB1M6 — 8-bit MCU built for satellite LNB control
Its core is the STM8 processor, and the part integrates a DiSEqC interface and an I²C interface — the two protocols that dominate satellite front-end control.
DiSEqC and I²C — the two interfaces that define the fit
The DiSEqC (Digital Satellite Equipment Control) peripheral handles the tone-burst signalling that selects LNB polarisation, band, and local-oscillator switching — the core function in a multiswitch or LNB module. The I²C interface provides a standard control bus for external tuners, voltage regulators, or port expanders. Having both on-chip means the MCU replaces a separate DiSEqC controller IC and a small I²C slave, consolidating the BOM into a single 20-SOIC package.
Package and mounting — 20-SOIC wide-body
The supplier device package is 20-SO. Tube shipping is the listed packaging form, so plan for tube handling in pick-and-place or request tape-and-reel from the distributor if the line runs at high volume.
