16 MHz 8-bit core with EnergyLite architecture
The STMicroelectronics STM8L152C8U6 is an 8-bit microcontroller from the STM8L EnergyLite series, built around the STM8 core and clocked at 16 MHz.
64 KB Flash, 2 KB EEPROM — firmware and data retention
The 64 KB Flash (64K x 8) is sized for mid-complexity applications: a bootloader, application image, and a small parameter block fit without external memory. The separate 2 KB EEPROM (2K x 8) stores calibration constants, configuration profiles, or production data that must survive power cycles — no wear-leveling needed for the typical 100k-cycle endurance of the EEPROM array. The 4 KB RAM (4K x 8) supports moderate stack and buffer usage; if your design runs a real-time OS or large DMA transfers, budget the RAM footprint early.
Integrated analog: 25-channel ADC, dual DAC
The ADC can sample multiple sensor inputs (temperature, pressure, current sense) sequentially; the DACs generate analog setpoints or bias voltages for external transducers. The peripheral set also includes DMA, a PWM timer, an LCD driver, and a watchdog timer — all common in industrial control and instrumentation.
Connectivity and I/O
41 I/O lines are available in the 48-UFQFN exposed-pad package.
