This is the official lifecycle flag that tells procurement and engineering the part is in its phase-out trajectory — it remains available for existing production through the last-time-buy window, but no new design should commit to this order code. For a BOM line already using it, the immediate action is to secure final buys or qualify a replacement before the LTB closes.
AEC-Q100 and 125°C — built for under-hood automotive
That temperature grade puts it squarely in under-hood and engine-bay environments — powertrain control modules, transmission controllers, brake systems, and any ECU that lives near the engine block. The 1.65V to 3.6V supply range lets it run from a single lithium cell or a regulated 3.3V rail, which simplifies the power tree in space-constrained automotive modules.
The EEPROM is useful for storing calibration constants and fault codes without wearing the Flash. The 30 I/O pins in a 32-VFQFN (5x5 mm) package give a good pin-to-footprint ratio for compact ECU designs.
Brown-out detect and DMA for reliable operation
On-chip brown-out detect/reset and a POR (power-on reset) keep the MCU from running in undefined low-voltage states — critical for automotive safety. The internal oscillator means no external crystal is needed for many applications, saving two pins and board space.
