The 8 KB Flash and 640-byte EEPROM are sized for calibration tables, fault logs, and a modest firmware image — think a window-lift controller, a LIN slave for a climate actuator, or a seat-position sensor. The 1 KB RAM handles a few frame buffers and stack without thrashing. The 7-channel 10-bit SAR ADC reads analog sensors directly, and the built-in brown-out detect, POR, PWM, and watchdog peripherals reduce external supervision ICs.
Package and footprint: 32-LQFP
Housed in a 32-LQFP (7×7 mm body, 0.8 mm pitch), this is a surface-mount package that routes easily on a two-layer board. The 28 available I/O leave a few spare pins for local indicators or a programming header. The package is consistent across the STM8AF622x family, so a firmware or footprint migration to a higher-density sibling is a board-layout compatible move.
