It runs at 16 MHz with 8 KB Flash program memory, 1K x 8 RAM, and 640 x 8 EEPROM. Housed in a 32-LQFP package, it operates from 3 V to 5.5 V over -40°C to 125°C, making it suited for under-hood and engine-bay control modules.
16 MHz — enough for real-time LIN and sensor loops
16 MHz is the rated core speed. For a typical automotive LIN slave node handling a few digital I/O and a 10-bit ADC channel, that throughput leaves headroom for the control loop without oversizing the BOM. The 8 KB Flash and 640-byte EEPROM fit a fixed-function firmware image — no field updates expected.
