16 MHz core, 8 KB Flash — what it handles
The STM8AF6223PCAU: The STM8A core runs at 16 MHz, which is enough for sensor polling, LIN-bus communication, and simple actuator control loops in automotive body electronics. The 8 KB Flash and 1K x 8 RAM limit the firmware to moderate-sized state machines and look-up tables; the 640 x 8 EEPROM is useful for storing calibration constants or fault codes without wearing the Flash.
AEC-Q100 and 125°C — under-hood ready
LIN is the typical choice for low-speed body networks like window lifts or seat adjusters.
