Two-rail supervisor with one fixed, one adjustable threshold
The STM6780TWB6F is a two-channel multi-voltage supervisor from STMicroelectronics that monitors one fixed rail at 3.075V and a second rail through an adjustable threshold set by an external resistor divider. The SOT-23-6 package keeps the board footprint small — useful when the supervisor sits near the processor on a dense mixed-signal board.
Threshold selection and temperature range
The fixed threshold of 3.075V suits a 3.3V rail with a typical tolerance band — the supervisor asserts reset when the supply dips below roughly 2.9V to 3.0V (the exact trip point is set by the internal bandgap). The adjustable channel on the second input lets the designer set the trip voltage for a lower rail, such as 1.8V or 1.2V core supply, using a pair of resistors to the reference pin. The reset timeout of 140ms minimum is long enough to cover the startup ramp of a ceramic-capacitor-based buck converter but short enough that the processor does not miss a real-time communication window on power-up.
Sourced through independent distribution channels. The date-code and lot traceability are verified before shipment — the package marking and tape-and-reel label must match the manufacturer's plant format for the production week.
