Smart Reset supervisor with adjustable timeout
The STM6519AHARUB6F is a Reset Timer from STMicroelectronics' Smart Reset™ series, designed to supervise system reset timing with an adjustable/selectable timeout period. It asserts a reset signal (active low) via an open-drain or open-collector output, giving the system designer flexibility to tailor the reset pulse width to match the downstream processor or FPGA requirements. This is not a simple fixed-delay reset generator; the timeout is configurable, so one BOM line can serve multiple reset timing needs across a product family by changing a single external component. Housed in a 6-UDFN package (1.45x1 mm body), it is a surface-mount part suited for space-constrained PCBs in industrial control, telecom, and embedded systems where a clean, adjustable reset sequence is needed.
The adjustable/selectable reset timeout lets you set the reset pulse width via an external timing component. The open-drain output allows the reset line to be shared with other reset sources or level-shifted via an external pull-up resistor.
