On-chip data converters provide 16 analog inputs multiplexed into a 12-bit ADC and two 12-bit DAC channels, which is enough for current-sense feedback and analog set-point generation without external converters. The LCD peripheral drives segment-type glass directly, saving a separate display driver on battery-powered instruments.
