The 80 MHz ARM Cortex-M4 core includes a single-cycle multiply-accumulate and hardware divide, plus a floating-point unit (FPU) for single-precision math. If your loop is doing sensor fusion, motor control, or audio filtering, the FPU saves you from software-emulated float — a real cycle budget difference versus a Cortex-M3 like the STM32L151 series. The 64 KB SRAM gives enough headroom for moderate DSP buffers and a real-time OS heap.
This part brings CANbus, multiple I²C and SPI interfaces, a QSPI for external Flash or RAM expansion, SAI for audio, and a full-speed USB. The 12-bit ADC has 16 channels and the DAC is dual 12-bit.
