What the 80 MHz Cortex-M4 buys you on this 128 KB Flash part
The STM32L433CBU6: The 48-UFQFPN (7x7) package with an exposed pad keeps the footprint small — 7 mm square — while the pad helps pull heat out if the MCU is driving a display or handling USB traffic continuously.
Connectivity and peripherals — what's on the bus
This MCU brings CANbus, USB, QSPI, and SAI (serial audio interface) on-chip, plus the usual I2C, SPI, and UART/USART blocks. The QSPI interface lets you attach external Flash or PSRAM for code shadowing or data logging without chewing up GPIO for a parallel bus. The LCD controller is also integrated, so a segment LCD panel can be driven directly — common in gas-pump displays, thermostats, and medical meters.
No last-time-buy notice has been issued, and the part remains in ST's current production portfolio. The ROHS3 compliance is current, so it passes European and Asian environmental regulations without a waiver.
