The 32 MHz Cortex-M0+ — enough for most control loops, not for DSP
The STM32L052R8H6: At 32 MHz the Cortex-M0+ is a single-cycle core with a three-stage pipeline. It handles UART polling, I²C sensor reads, and PWM generation.
64-TFBGA — plan the rework before you need it
This comes in a 64-ball TFBGA, 5x5 mm body. That is a fine-pitch BGA — 0.5 mm ball pitch typically — which means a four-layer PCB minimum to route the signals out, and a hot-air station or reflow oven for assembly. Not a hand-solder part. If your production volume is low or you are doing field repairs, the LQFP-64 variant of the same MCU (STM32L052R8T6) is a more serviceable choice. The TFBGA saves board area but adds a rework step.
Industrial temperature, but not automotive
Not qualified to AEC-Q100, so do not spec it for under-hood or safety-critical automotive without a waiver.
