The STM32L052C6T6 is a 32-bit microcontroller from STMicroelectronics' STM32L0 ultra-low-power series, built around the ARM Cortex-M0+ core running at 32 MHz.
Memory and peripheral set for small-footprint designs
The 2 KB EEPROM is page-erasable and rated for 100k cycles, so you can store calibration constants or configuration profiles without wearing out the Flash. On the peripheral side you get I²C, SPI, two UARTs, IrDA, and a USB 2.0 full-speed device interface. The 12-bit ADC has ten channels and there is one 12-bit DAC — enough for single-channel analog output or battery monitoring.
48-LQFP package and layout fit
The 48-LQFP (7x7 mm body, 0.5 mm pitch) is a common footprint that hand-solders easily and fits two-layer boards without blind vias. 37 I/O are brought out, leaving enough pins for a parallel LCD data bus or a row of keypad inputs alongside the serial interfaces.
