Peripheral set and connectivity for sensor fusion
The STM32L031K6U7 includes a 10-channel 12-bit ADC, brown-out detect, DMA, PWM, and watchdog timer. Communication interfaces cover I²C, SPI, UART/USART, LINbus, and IrDA — enough to talk to most sensors, displays, and serial peripherals without external protocol chips. The 27 I/O pins in the 32-UFQFN package give reasonable headroom for a compact sensor node or control board.
Package and layout — the 5x5 mm exposed-pad UFQFN
Housed in a 32-UFQFN with exposed pad (supplier package 32-UFQFPN, 5x5 mm), this is a surface-mount part that needs a thermal via stitch under the pad for heat dissipation if you push continuous current. The small footprint saves board space but demands careful decoupling — keep the 100 nF cap close to each supply pin pair. No lab bench needed for rework if you have a hot-air station and a steady hand.
Sourcing reality — active and available through independent distribution
No LTB risk, no last-time-buy math needed for new designs.
