Dual-core compute: 240 MHz M4 plus 480 MHz M7
The STM32H757XIH6 is STMicroelectronics' STM32H7-series dual-core microcontroller, pairing an ARM Cortex-M7 core running at 480 MHz with a Cortex-M4 core at 240 MHz. This asymmetric architecture lets the M7 handle heavy number-crunching — signal processing, graphics acceleration, real-time control loops — while the M4 offloads housekeeping tasks like communication stack management and peripheral supervision. The 168 I/O lines and rich peripheral set — CANbus, Ethernet, USB OTG, multiple SPI/I2C, QSPI, SAI, SPDIF, and a 36-channel 16-bit ADC plus two 12-bit DACs — make it a single-chip candidate for industrial gateways, motor drives, and human-machine interfaces that need both compute headroom and connectivity.
Package and temperature grade for the build
Supply voltage spans 1.62 V to 3.6 V, letting it run from a single 3.3 V or 1.8 V rail with an on-chip POR and brown-out detector. Surface-mount only; no socketed option for this package.
