The 42-channel 12-bit ADC array and seven 12-bit DACs are what separate this part from a general-purpose MCU. Each ADC can sample simultaneously with its own injected channel, letting you read three phase currents plus a DC-link voltage in a single trigger event. The DACs feed analog reference levels or offset trim voltages without external op-amp stages. For a three-phase motor drive with resolver feedback, you can dedicate one ADC per phase current and still have channels left for temperature and bus voltage monitoring.
