On the connectivity side, it supports CANbus, EBI/EMI for external memory, I²C, IrDA, LINbus, MMC/SD, QSPI, SAI, SPI, UART/USART, and USB. The 82 I/Os in the 100-LQFP package give enough headroom to run a motor control loop with encoder feedback, a CANopen fieldbus stack, and a local display interface without multiplexing. The 12-bit ADC has 16 channels, and there are two 12-bit DAC channels — enough for analog sensor conditioning and set-point generation in a single-chip control board.
