Peripherals and connectivity — display, networking, and fieldbus in one chip
This MCU integrates a built-in LCD controller (listed under peripherals as LCD), so it can drive a parallel RGB display directly — no external graphics controller needed. The connectivity set covers CANbus, Ethernet, USB OTG, multiple SPI and I²C interfaces, plus SAI for audio. That makes it a single-chip solution for a panel with touch, Ethernet backhaul, and a CAN fieldbus link. The 114 I/O lines in the 169-UFBGA package give enough GPIO for a parallel display bus, external memory interface (EBI/EMI), and sensor inputs without multiplexing.
The internal oscillator trims the BOM by one crystal for non-critical timing, but the Ethernet PHY still needs an external 25 MHz reference.
