Connectivity and peripherals — what the bus carries
This MCU integrates dual CANbus interfaces, USB OTG (host and device), an SPDIF-Rx input for digital audio, and a Serial Audio Interface (SAI) for I²S codecs. The EBI/EMI memory controller lets you map an external SRAM, NOR Flash, or FPGA directly into the 32-bit address space — useful when 512 KB of on-chip Flash is tight for a GUI image store or a data-logging buffer. Peripherals include brownout detect, POR, LVD, and a windowed watchdog — the kind of supervisory logic that keeps a motor controller from latching up on a sagging supply rail. The internal oscillator trims to within 1 % accuracy over temperature, so you can skip the external crystal on a cost-sensitive board as long as USB timing isn't required.

The 144-LQFP package (20x20 mm body) is a hand-solderable, rework-friendly quad flat pack with 0.5 mm pitch. No hidden balls, no X-ray inspection needed — a rework station with a hot-air nozzle and a flux pen can swap this part in under five minutes.
