180 MHz Cortex-M4 with 2 MB Flash — what you get
Program memory is 2 MB of Flash, backed by 256K x 8 SRAM, and the part carries 140 GPIOs in a 176-LQFP package. Built-in peripherals include a TFT LCD controller, a full-speed Ethernet MAC with dedicated DMA, CANbus, multiple I²C and SPI ports, and two 12-bit DACs plus 24 12-bit ADC channels. This peripheral set targets human-machine interfaces (HMI), industrial gateways, and motor-control panels that need a display and wired networking on a single chip.
Ethernet on-chip — no external MAC needed
The Ethernet controller is a 10/100 MAC with dedicated DMA, which saves an external MAC-PHY bridge and reduces BOM cost for connected designs. The PHY interface is MII/RMII, so the board still needs an external PHY chip and magnetics, but the MAC integration cuts component count and simplifies the PCB layout.
ROHS3 compliant. For a production BOM, this means no last-time-buy scheduling and no forced redesign in the near term. The base product number is STM32F429, and the series (STM32F4) has broad ST support with multiple density and package options.
