100 MHz Cortex-M4 with 1.5 MB Flash — what this MCU buys the design
The 144-pin LQFP package brings out 114 general-purpose I/O, so you are not counting pins on a motor-drive or HMI panel design.
Connectivity and peripheral set — single-chip system integration
The 12-bit ADC bank has 16 channels, and there are two 12-bit DAC outputs. Brown-out detect, POR, and a programmable watchdog are on-chip, so a separate supervisor IC is optional for most industrial applications.
The base product number is STM32F423, which shares the same pinout and memory map across the density variants — a BOM consolidation point if you also use the 512 KB or 1 MB Flash siblings in the same family.
Housed in a 144-LQFP with a 20x20 mm body and 0.5 mm pitch. The exposed pad (if present on this variant) should be stitched to ground with thermal vias if the application draws more than about 200 mA continuous from the core.
