Memory and connectivity — what the 320 KB SRAM and interface set buy you
The 320 KB SRAM is the standout memory spec here — it's enough to hold a VGA frame buffer for the LCD controller peripheral, or to run dual-channel audio processing via the SAI and I²S interfaces without external RAM. The 1 MB Flash supports a full RTOS with TCP/IP stack, USB host/device stack, and a file system. Connectivity covers CANbus for industrial networks, USB OTG for dual-role device/host, QSPI for high-speed serial NOR Flash expansion, and EBI/EMI for parallel SRAM or FPGA glue. That's a single-chip bill-of-materials for a lot of mid-complexity embedded systems.
Brown-out detect and POR are integrated peripherals, so external reset supervision is optional. The internal oscillator trims to a factory-calibrated accuracy, saving a crystal for UART and basic timing — though the 100 MHz PLL still needs a crystal or external clock for precision.
Package and rework — 64-LQFP with 10x10 mm body
No exposed pad underneath, so the thermal path is through the leads only — keep the copper pour on the PCB pads generous if the MCU is driving high-current outputs or running the core at full clock continuously.
