100 MHz Cortex-M4 with FPU — DSP headroom without a coprocessor
The Cortex-M4 core includes a single-cycle MAC and hardware divide, so it handles real-time DSP loops — motor FOC, audio filtering, sensor fusion — without an external DSP. Program memory is 512 KB of Flash, with 128K x 8 SRAM for data and stack; the 50 available I/O in a 64-LQFP package give enough headroom for a sensor hub or a small HMI controller.
The wide Vcc range also helps when the board has a 1.8 V I/O domain: the MCU can run at that lower rail directly, saving a level shifter on some lines.
Connectivity and peripherals — what the on-chip set covers
That means the chip can talk to external Flash via Quad-SPI, log data to an SD card, or act as a USB device/host — all without external interface silicon. The 16-channel 12-bit ADC (A/D 16x12b) is enough for a multi-sensor input stage; internal oscillator keeps the BOM count low if board space is tight.
