STM32F405VGT7TR — 168 MHz Cortex-M4 with 1 MB Flash in 100-LQFP
It integrates a single-cycle multiply-and-accumulate unit and a floating-point unit for DSP and control-loop math.
At 168 MHz the Cortex-M4 can sustain real-time control loops with sub-6 µs interrupt latency. The 1 MB Flash supports a full RTOS image plus application code without external memory; the 192 KB SRAM leaves room for double-buffered ADC data and a TCP/IP stack. The Flash is organised for 128-bit wide reads, so the prefetch buffer and ART Accelerator keep zero-wait execution at 168 MHz for most code — no manual wait-state tuning needed.
Connectivity and peripherals for industrial and mixed-signal designs
Two CAN 2.0B interfaces handle fieldbus links; the USB OTG FS/HS with on-chip PHY supports device, host, and OTG modes. The LCD parallel interface and I²S audio ports are available for HMI panels and audio playback.
The 100-LQFP (14x14 mm) is a hand-solderable, inspectable package — no X-ray needed. The VDD and VDDA pins are separate; a ferrite bead on VDDA keeps ADC noise down.
It is ROHS3 compliant. The base product number is STM32F405, so PCNs and errata apply across the family.
