72 MHz Cortex-M4 with mixed-signal peripherals
The STM32F302CBT6TR: The single-precision FPU and DSP instructions mean it handles real-time control loops and sensor fusion without a separate co-processor — the 32 KB SRAM leaves room for a modest RTOS and a few hundred floating-point variables. 128 KB of on-chip flash is enough for a motor-control firmware stack with a CANopen or Modbus protocol layer, plus a bootloader. The 9-channel 12-bit ADC and single 12-bit DAC let it sample current-sense resistors and output an analog reference or setpoint without external converters.
Housed in a 48-LQFP with a 7x7 mm body and 0.5 mm pitch, the STM32F302CBT6TR fits on a two-layer board if you route carefully — the inner rows of the QFP fan out to vias under the package.
