Active lifecycle and BOM-fit note
The STM32F103C8T7: ROHS3 compliance is confirmed, matching the lead-free assembly requirements for most commercial and industrial PCBs.
Core, memory, and throughput
Built around the ARM Cortex-M3 core at 72 MHz, this 32-bit single-core MCU delivers the DMIPS throughput typical of the STM32F1 family — enough to handle a real-time control loop, a protocol stack, and moderate data processing on a single core. The 64 KB of on-chip Flash and 20K x 8 RAM leave room for a HAL, RTOS, and application code for sensor fusion or motor-control firmware. Program memory is Flash, so firmware updates over the bootloader or debug interface are standard — no OTP or mask-ROM commitment.
Peripheral set and connectivity
37 general-purpose I/O lines are available on the 48-LQFP package, with multiplexed alternate functions for the on-chip peripherals. The integrated DMA controller offloads peripheral-to-memory transfers without CPU intervention, and the motor-control PWM timer supports three-phase inverter drive — a combination that suits pump, fan, and brushless-DC motor control applications. Ten 12-bit analog-to-digital converter channels are built in, enough to sample multiple sensor inputs (thermistors, current shunts, potentiometers) without an external ADC.
