What this Cortex-M0 value-line MCU brings to a BOM
The 18-channel 12-bit ADC covers multi-sensor designs without an external mux.
At 48 MHz the Cortex-M0 delivers about 45 DMIPS, which is enough for real-time control loops (motor commutation, power-supply sequencing, PID loops) and moderate data processing. The 64 KB Flash is the hard limit for firmware — if your application needs an RTOS, a USB stack, and a GUI library, you will hit the ceiling quickly. The 8 KB RAM handles modest buffers and stacks; designs with large look-up tables or audio samples will need external memory or a larger part. For UART and I²C at moderate baud rates the internal RC is fine.
64-LQFP — rework and layout notes
The 64-LQFP package has a 0.5 mm pitch and an exposed pad (the centre thermal slug).
For production planning, this means the part is still in full manufacturing support from ST, and the usual distributor channels carry it. The base product number is STM32F030, so any PCN or errata updates apply across the series.
