600 V, 10 A — switching capacity in a full-pack isolator
Gate charge and input capacitance — drive budget for the switching frequency
Total gate charge is 16.5 nC at 10 V, and input capacitance is 614 pF at 100 V drain-source. The low Qg relative to the 600 V / 10 A rating keeps the switching transition times short, reducing cross-conduction losses in the turn-on and turn-off edges. The maximum gate-source voltage is ±25 V, giving margin for ringing on the gate node in a layout with moderate inductance. The 5 V maximum threshold at 250 µA drain current means a 10 V drive saturates the channel fully, achieving the rated Rds(on).
Junction temperature range and power dissipation
Maximum power dissipation is 25 W at case temperature, limited by the full-pack's thermal resistance — the TO-220FP isolates the tab, so the thermal path through the mounting surface is the design constraint for the heatsink.
