650 V N-channel in a DPAK — where it fits
The 650 V rating targets offline AC-DC converters, flyback power supplies, and PFC stages where the primary-side switch sees rectified line voltage plus reflected output and leakage-inductance spikes. The MDmesh M6 process keeps the gate charge low at 5.1 nC at 10 V, which reduces the drive power and switching losses in hard-switched topologies.
Maximum on-resistance is 1.3 Ohm at 2 A with 10 V gate drive. The 5.1 nC gate charge means a small-signal gate driver can switch the FET without a dedicated driver IC, saving a line item on the BOM.
The ±25 V maximum gate-source rating gives margin for gate-drive ringing in noisy environments — a common failure point in offline designs.
