On-resistance and switching parametrics
The STD20P3H6AG: Gate charge totals 12.8 nC at 10 V, and input capacitance is 635 pF at 25 V drain bias. For a 100 kHz switching frequency, the gate driver must supply roughly 1.28 mA average drive current (Qg × fsw), well within the capability of standard automotive gate drivers.
Supplied in the TO-252-3 (DPAK) surface-mount package, the STD20P3H6AG mounts on standard reflow solder profiles. The DPAK tab is the drain terminal — the PCB copper pad area under the tab directly sets the junction-to-ambient thermal resistance.
