1500W bidirectional TVS for 30V rails

Voltage thresholds and clamping behaviour
Breakdown starts at 33.3V minimum, so a 30V rail with ±5% tolerance stays below the trigger threshold. At full rated surge current the clamp voltage reaches 64.3V — that is the voltage the protected circuit must tolerate during the transient event. If the downstream components have a 60V absolute maximum, this part leaves only 4.3V margin at the clamp peak; a higher-voltage TVS or series resistance may be needed.
Housed in the DO-214AB (SMC) package, a standard surface-mount footprint for medium-power TVS diodes. The SMC body handles the 1500W pulse without requiring a heatsink in most PCB layouts — the copper pad and trace area typically provide enough thermal mass for the short-duration transient.
