It delivers 400 W peak pulse power (10/1000 µs waveform) and clamps at 69.7 V max, with a minimum breakdown voltage of 36.7 V. The single-channel bidirectional configuration means one device protects both polarities — useful for AC signal lines or DC rails where reverse-voltage events are possible.
The 400 W peak pulse power defines the surge it can absorb — enough for typical industrial transient protection on 24 V or 28 V rails, but not a high-energy mains-grade suppressor. The 33 V reverse standoff is the maximum DC or AC peak voltage the protected line can carry without the diode conducting leakage; above that, breakdown starts at 36.7 V min. The 69.7 V clamping voltage is the peak the load sees during a surge event — the designer must ensure downstream components tolerate that ceiling. The 33 A peak pulse current at the 8/20 µs waveform is the companion rating for fast transients like ESD or cable discharge.
