600W automotive TVS for 24V rail protection
The STMicroelectronics SM6T30CAY is a bidirectional Zener-type TVS diode from the TRANSIL™ series, purpose-built for automotive transient protection. It delivers 600W peak pulse power (10/1000µs waveform) and clamps a 25.6V reverse standoff to 53.5V maximum at the rated peak pulse current of 75A (8/20µs waveform). The 28.5V minimum breakdown voltage ensures the part stays out of conduction during normal 24V bus operation.
AEC-Q101 qualification and operating range
Power line protection is not implemented (no internal series element), so this is a shunt-only clamp for signal or low-impedance power rails.
