Product details

Single low-side driver for N- and P-channel MOSFETs

The STMicroelectronics PM8841D is a single-channel, low-side gate driver designed to drive both N-channel and P-channel MOSFETs. It accepts a non-inverting input and delivers a peak output current of 800 mA source and 1 A sink, with a typical rise and fall time of 20 ns.

20 ns switching edge — what it buys the power stage

A 20 ns rise and fall time (maximum-rated) means the PM8841D can switch a moderate-capacitance MOSFET gate fast enough to keep crossover losses low. The 1 A sink peak handles the gate charge of a typical MOSFET in the tens of nanoseconds.

The PM8841D comes in a SOT-23-5 package. It's a surface-mount part with five leads — the same footprint as a standard SOT-23-5. No exposed pad, so all the heat dissipates through the leads and the small body. The part is ROHS3 compliant.

The ROHS3 compliance is current.
