4 Mbit serial EEPROM for parameter storage and firmware tables
The STMicroelectronics M95M04-DRDW6TP is a 4 Mbit SPI EEPROM organized as 512K x 8 bits, clocked at 10 MHz over the serial bus. The 1.8 V to 5.5 V supply range lets it sit on a 3.3 V or 5 V logic rail without a separate regulator — the same part works across both voltage domains in a mixed-signal board. Industrial temperature range (-40 to +85 °C) and the 8-TSSOP package make it a fit for factory-floor control modules, PLC I/O cards, or motor-drive parameter storage where the ambient inside the enclosure stays below 85 °C. The 5 ms page write cycle means a 256-byte firmware table update completes in under 5 ms — fast enough to log a fault snapshot before the power rail collapses.
SPI interface and supply flexibility
The SPI bus runs at 10 MHz, so a 4 Mbit read completes in roughly 50 ms at full clock speed — adequate for boot-loading configuration tables from a microcontroller. The 1.8 V minimum supply means the EEPROM stays alive on a low-voltage backup rail during brownout, preserving the last logged state. Surface-mount assembly in the 8-TSSOP (4.40 mm width) footprint — the same land pattern as a standard SO-8, so no board spin if migrating from a smaller serial EEPROM in the same package family. Tape & Reel or Cut Tape options suit both prototype runs and production reels.
Active production with full compliance documentation
STMicroelectronics lists the M95M04-DRDW6TP as Active and RoHS3 compliant.
