The STMicroelectronics M95640-DRDW8TP/K is a 64 Kbit serial EEPROM organized as 8 K x 8 bits, accessed via an SPI bus at up to 16 MHz.
16 MHz SPI — bus timing and throughput
At 16 MHz the SPI interface delivers a raw read throughput of about 2 MB/s, enough for firmware shadowing or calibration-table fetch without stalling the host controller. The 64 Kbit density holds roughly 8,000 bytes of configuration data — a common size for automotive trim values or bootloader staging.
No special thermal management is needed at this power level.
