1Kbit SPI EEPROM in SOIC-8 — BOM-fit note
The M95010-WMN6P is a 1Kbit serial EEPROM from STMicroelectronics, organised as 128 x 8 bits and accessed through an SPI bus running up to 20 MHz.
Write cycle and firmware update budget
The byte or page write cycle time is 5 ms typical. For a 128-byte firmware parameter block written as a single page, the non-volatile store completes in 5 ms — the MCU can poll the write-in-progress bit or wait a fixed 5 ms before the next access. At 20 MHz SPI clock, a 128-byte page read takes roughly 64 µs plus overhead — the EEPROM is not a bottleneck for boot code or calibration data that fits within the 1Kbit array.
Active lifecycle and compliance
STMicroelectronics lists the M95010-WMN6P as an active product. ROHS3 compliant — no exemption-listed substances above threshold.
